1. Set the adapter’s voltage switch to the correct setting.
2. Plug the correct size Adaptaplug into the jack at the
end of the adapter’s cord. The polarity markings
(+, – ) can be ignored since this adapter has AC
output. It doesn’t matter which way you plug in the
Adaptaplug.
3. Plug the Adaptaplug into your device’s DC input jack.
4. To avoid injury, do not connect the adapter to a ceiling
outlet.
IMPORTANT:
• This adapter is designed specifically for use with
many AT&T answering machines. It is not a general
purpose adapter for other equipment such as CD
players, radios, or video game consoles.
• The output voltage of this adapter is AC voltage. If
the User’s Guide or rating label of your answering
machine indicates that DC voltage is required, or refers
to negative ( – ) or positive (+) polarity, do not use this
adapter.
Protect the environment. Go to E-CyclingCentral.com
to find an electronic recycling center near you.
Cautions:
• If this adapter is not compatible with the voltage and
current requirements of your answering machine, it can
result in PERMANENT DAMAGE to the device.
• Before using, consult the User’s Guide or rating label on
your device to make sure it requires 9 / 10.2 / 12 or 13 volts
AC.
• The power adapter’s current (800mA) must be equal to or
more than the current needed by your portable device.
• Never operate the adapter if it has been damaged in any
way. Do not disassemble it.
wWARNING: To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose
the adapter to rain or other moisture.
w CAUTION: The total combined current for accessories
plugged into this adapter must not exceed 800mA.
