Upgrade Instructions

The software contained in this package upgrades your software from Release 1
to Release 2. You must use this software upgrade package to give the 9161
Single T1 NAM the capability of using the FXO APM in your T1 access unit.
Package Checklist
Verify that your upgrade package contains the following:
Software upgrade diskette
FXO APM feature (see the
9109 FXO Analog Voice Application Module
(APM), Installation Instructions
(Document No. 9109-A2-GN14)
Things to Know Before Performing an Upgrade
You do not need to power down the T1 access unit
All of your configuration option settings will remain intact
Upgrade Procedure
Use the software diskette provided to download the new software to your 926x
T1 Access Unit. Refer to
Downloading Software, File Transfer, and Performing
an Upgrade
in Chapter 5,
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
of the Technical
Reference.
NOTE:
If you maintain a backup copy of your configuration files, you should upload a
new backup copy of your configuration from the T1 access unit after you
upgrade to a new release of software. Refer to
Backing Up Your
Configuration
in Chapter 5,
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
of the
Technical Reference.
