K00017 STACKING KIT 
                                                 Installation Instructions  
 
1.  The K00017 stacking kit is used for stacking an E-0400 
on an E-0600 ice machine.  The bin must be leveled 
before proceeding.  NOTE:  THIS STACKING KIT IS 
ALSO USED, WHEN STACKING G-0600 ON G-0800 
ICE MACHINES. 
2.  INSTALLATION OF E-0600 ICE MACHINE: 
A.  See service manual for uncrating and inspection of 
ice machine. 
B.  Remove top cover from ice machine (NOTE:  do not 
put screws back in.). 
C.  Set ice machine carefully and squarely on bin. 
D.  Position shim angle, provided in kit, on right side, as 
shown in Illustration 1. 
E.  Add foam tape, as shown in Illustration 1. 
F.  With four screws, install top cover from kit on left 
side of ice machine (NOTE:  flange goes over side 
panel.). 
G.  Remove right-hand side panel. 
3.  INSTALLATION OF E-0400 ICE MACHINE: 
A.  See service manual for uncrating and inspection of 
ice machine. 
B. Remove right-hand side panel and bottom four 
screws on left-hand side panel. 
C.  Set E-0400 ice machine on E-0600 ice machine with 
right-hand sides in line (NOTE:  flange on top cover 
should be inside left-hand side panel.). 
 D.  Install four screws in bottom left-hand side panel. 
E.  Bolt right-hand sides of ice machines together with 
1/4-20 x 5/8” long bolt, lock washer, and nut, 
provided in kit. 
F.  Reattach right-hand side panels. 
 
 
4.  INSTALLATION OF WATER SHIELD: 
A.  Remove angle “A”, the water pump, float valve 
bracket assembly, and sump trough from top ice 
machine. 
B.  Remove existing sheet metal screw at lower right 
corner of bulkhead below siphon tube.  Locate water 
shield above the lower machine’s electrical box.  Use 
existing screw to fasten flange of shield to bulkhead.  
Apply RTV sealant to the top edges of flange to 
provide a watertight seal. 
C. Reinstall the sump trough, float valve bracket 
assembly, and water pump. 
 
 
5.  INSTALLATION OF ICE CHUTE: 
A. Remove the ice chute from kit and set bottom 
mounting brackets over angle “B” on E-0600 ice 
machine (Illustration 3). 
B.  Put angle “A” in slots of top mounting brackets and 
secure in place. 
C.  Check for free movement of water curtains. 
D.  Proceed to ice machine service manuals for electrical
