Instruções sobre a Placa de
Interface Serial RS-232C
Cuidado! Mantenha a placa na embalagem até a
sua instalação.
1. Desconecte a impressora e retire a tampa da
abertura da placa serial.
2. Insira a placa de interface serial e pressione
firmemente no lugar.
Observação : Os modelos ML320/321 Turbo e
ML390/391 Turbo NÃO utilizam a trava.
3. Insira a trava (ela estala quando encaixar
corretamente no lugar).
4. Conecte um cabo serial apropriado à
impressora, a seguir ao computador,
prendendo as duas extremidades com
parafusos.
Importante! Antes de usar interface serial, você
deve remover o cabo da porta de interface paralela!
Menu
Quando a placa serial estiver instalada, os
seguintes itens novos aparecem no menu da
impressora:
Parity. None*, Odd, Even.
Serial Data 7 or 8 Bits. 8 bits*, 7 bits.
Protocol. Ready/Busy*, X-ON/X-OFF.
Diagnostic Test. No*, Yes.
Busy Line. SSD-*, SSD+, DTR, RTS. Define qual
linha seu sistema monitoriza um sinal ocupado se o
protocolo Ready-Busy estiver ativado.
Baud Rate. 19,200 bps, 9600 bps*, 4800 bps, 2400
bps, 1200 bps, 600 bps, 300 bps.
DSR Signal. Valid*, Invalid. Define e maneira
como seu sistema controla o sinal DSR quando o
protocolo Ready/Busy está ativado.
DTR Signal. Ready on Power Up*, Ready on
Select. Muda para Ready on Select se o sinal DTR é
solicitado quando a impressora for selecionada.
BusyTime. 200 ms*, 1 sec. Define a extensão do
sinal quando o protocolo Ready/Busy esté ativado.

Attention! Conservez le circuit imprimé dans son
emballage jusqu'à ce que vous soyez prêt à l'installer.
1. Débranchez l'imprimante et retirez le cache
en bloquant la baie destinée à recevoir la
carte série.
2. Insérez la carte d'interface série et appuyez
fermement pour la mettre en place.
Remarque : La pièce de verrouillage n’est PAS
utilisée pour les modèles ML320/321 Turbo et
ML390/391 Turbo.
3. Insérez la pièce de verrouillage (vous
entendrez un clic quand elle sera solidement
ancrée).
4. Connectez un câble série approprié à
l'imprimante, puis à votre ordinateur, et
fixez les deux bouts en place à l'aide des vis.
Important! Avant d'utiliser la carte d'interface
série, vous devez retirer le câble du port de
l'interface parallèle!
Menu
Quand la carte d'interface série est installée, les
nouveaux éléments suivants apparaissent au
menu de l'imprimante :

votre système s'occupe du signal PDP quand le
protocole Ready/Busy (prêt-occupé) est engagé.
DTR Signal. Ready on Power Up*, Ready on
Select. Changez à Ready on Select (Prêt sur
Sélectionner) si le signal de terminal prêt est requis
quand l'imprimante est sélectionnée.
BusyTime. 200 ms*, 1 sec. Détermine la durée du
signal d'occupation quand le protocole Ready/Busy
(prêt-occupé) est engagé.

Instructions
Caution! Keep the board in its packaging until
you're ready to install it.
1. Unplug the printer and pry the cover off the
serial board opening.
2. Insert the serial interface board and press it
firmly in place.
Note: Models ML320/321 Turbo and ML390/391
Turbo do NOT use the lock piece.
3. Insert the lock piece (it clicks when properly
seated).
4. Connect a suitable serial cable to the printer,
then to your computer, securing both ends
with the screws.
Important! Before using the serial interface, you
must remove the cable from the parallel interface
port!
Menu
When the Serial Board is installed, the following
new items appear in the printer menu:
Parity. None*, Odd, Even.
Serial Data 7 or 8 Bits. 8 bits*, 7 bits.
Protocol. Ready/Busy*, X-ON/X-OFF.
Diagnostic Test. No*, Yes.
Busy Line. SSD-*, SSD+, DTR, RTS. Sets which line
your system monitors for a busy signal if the
Ready/Busy protocol is engaged.
Baud Rate. 19,200 bps, 9600 bps*, 4800 bps, 2400
bps, 1200 bps, 600 bps, 300 bps.
DSR Signal. Valid*, Invalid. Sets the way your
system handles the DSR signal when the Ready/
Busy protocol is engaged.
DTR Signal. Ready on Power Up*, Ready on
Select. Change to Ready on Select if the DTR signal
is required when the printer is selected.
BusyTime. 200 ms*, 1 sec. Sets the length of the
busy signal when the Ready/Busy protocol is
engaged.

¡Precaución! Mantenga la tarjeta en su paquete
hasta el momento de su instalación.
1. Desenchufe la impresora y retire la cubierta

Seleccionar), si se necesita la señal DTR al
seleccionarse la impresora.
BusyTime. 200 ms*, 1 sec. Define la duración de la
señal de ocupado cuando se emplea el protocolo
Ready/Busy (Listo-Ocupado).
