Set Up
Setting Up Your Monitor
Remove the monitor and base from the box. The
monitor stand attaches to the base as illustrated. Take
special care to not place pressure on the LCD panel.
Connect Video and Power Cables
Attach the video cable (the blue connector) to the
monitor. Then, plug the opposite end of the video
cable into your video card (output) on your computer
and tighten the screws. The PE171 also has digital
(DVI) input that can be connected to your computer's
digital video card using the included cable. Connect
the supplied power cord to the back of the monitor
and then plug the cord into an active wall outlet.
Power-Up Your Monitor and Computer
Turn on the power switch until the LED indicator on
the front of the monitor lights up. If not, check all
connections and ensure that your power outlet is
active. You should see a "No Input Signal" message on
the display. Turn on your computer. During boot up it
is normal for the flat panel image to be fuzzy or slightly
off-set. This monitor has been optimized as a Plug and
Play monitor and no driver files are necessary.
