Important Information : 
Installing LTO-3 Drives in a Spectra T120 Library 
 
 
 
Library Firmware 
 
The Spectra T120 library firmware code level must be at BlueScale9.1.6-20050629F or higher in order to use 
LTO-3 drives in a Spectra T120 library. 
 
 
Library Robotics 
 
Open the library door and check the type of library robotics installed in your library. 
 
           
 
    Molded Picker            Round Picker 
 
If you have a molded picker, your EC level is automatically satisfactory. 
 
If you have a round picker, check the EC levels of the components. 
 
•  The EC number for the robotics is located on the picker tray next to the EE port. 
The EC level of the robotics must be at EC14 or higher. 
 
•  The EC number for the picker is located on the bottom of the picker. 
The EC level of the picker must be at EC09 or higher. 
 
 
CAUTION: 
If your library does not meet both of the above criteria for firmware and robotics EC levels, do not attempt 
to install the LTO-3 drive(s). Contact Spectra Logic Technical Support for further instructions.
